I possess over 11 years teaching English/Language Arts in grades 7-9 to diverse students with varying levels of proficiency in the areas of reading and writing. Additionally, I have over 13 years experience developing and facilitating workshops to adult learners covering various topics affecting education (Motivating Unmotivated Learners, English Language Learners, Parenting Classes, Early Childhood & Adolescent Development, etc.) Lastly, I have a strong desire to help students become successful in their academic careers as I feel that if they find success it will foster and develop the confidence necessary to succeed in all of their future academic and professional endeavors.

Hobbies
My hobbies and interests span from spending time with my husband, his two sons ages 13 & 10 and my daughters 15 and 12, having a movie night or game night or simply chatting around the dinner table to having some quiet time to myself to read. I also enjoy singing karaoke and spending time with my siblings and dad and stepmom for family gatherings. Family day-trips to the beach in the summer or spending some girl time with my daughters getting our nails done is also a lot of fun. Ultimately, enjoying the simple things are what interest me the most.
